Steve and Linda Sander's Trip to Finland Tuesday, June 5, 2001 -- AM Arrived at Schiphol airport in Amsterdam. Through customs without difficulty. We checked our suitcases in a locker, and took our carry-on bags (with change of clothes) with us to the train. A six-minute ride to station Zuid -- then the No. 5 tram to Museumplein. A walk across the plaza and one more block to the Hotel Acro. The room was tiny, but the location was perfect...on a small, quiet street one block from the major art museums. A perfect place to stay over on the way to Finland. We started with the Rijksmuseum...Rembrandts, Vermeers, and lots more.Then we walked around the neighborhood a little until we found a sidewalk cafe, where we had lunch. Then back to hotel for a nap.
