Steve and Linda Sander's Trip to Finland Wednesday, June 6, 2001 -- PM We first went to Kim and Anu's apartment. Kim was still at work, but Anu and the kids (Nikko,2 yrs, and Nora, 6 wks) were there. Later, Kim's brother, John, came home from school/work. John is a chemical engineer and is working on his doctorate. His specialty is making chemical processes work more efficiently. He is currently working on optimizing production of an enzyme. We went up to his apartment (two floors up). He was letting us have his place as a base of travel (he moved to Maria's place - his sister - who was out of town). John then took us on a walk around the university section of town. We had a nice dinner at a local restaurant. Then Anu and the kids met us for a walk along the river Aura. It was a beautiful evening.
